On this, our 34th installation of Journeys To Motherhood, we share with you the conclusion of Colleen Geyer's story.
When chatting with her, I didn't realize it would result in a 3-part series. But there were so many facets to her story, plus her own personality that came shining through so vibrantly, that it took three shows to cover her! And she has left me in such an uplifted state. I hope you all feel that as well. She makes a few comments in this, her final show, that hit home with me in a big way.

A few quotes I have to mention that really touched me:

• "You could lose your mind through the journey. Find a song that uplifts you, and pull it out whenever you can. Let it be your prayer if you can't pray anymore."

• She also said, "Don't flee from your faith when going through this journey. Embrace it."

Throughout MY decade of infertility, there WERE times I had fled... times when I found myself too angry to believe anymore. And yes, there were times when I thought I was losing MY mind...even times when I felt suicidal. But OTHERS kept praying for me, and I also kept praying for others...just not for myself anymore. I felt like there was no point. I was in the darkest place of my life, and it was very bad. But I DID have a few songs, and I DID have a few visuals that I would go to in my mental world.

Affirmations helped me as well. But I wasn't 'forgotten' after all. God DID remember me, and my blessing was more than I could have ever dreamed...with little Hailey Rose.

Finally, Colleen states "I didn't endure those years just to stay silent". And we are SO grateful for that here on Journeys To Motherhood. Thank you, Colleen, for your lack of silence. And thanks to YOU all for listening. You will be so glad you did.
