On this, our 37th show, we break the mold by having a male guest share HIS story. John Van Regenmorter did not have a clue as to what his wife had been going through until one day he read an article she had written.

After reading it, he had a rude awakening. He decided to jump onboard by trying to truly understand the level of her pain, then tend to her needs. Later he took it even a step further...a HUGE step further... by re-directing his ministry and gearing it toward the help and counsel of couples that were also struggling with infertility.

John's ministry, entitled Stepping Stones Ministry, is associated with Bethany Christian Services. He and his wife, Sylvia, also publish a beautiful newsletter and have written two books, one entitled "Dear God, Why Can't We Have A Baby?", and the other, "When The Cradle Is Empty... Answering Tough Questions About Infertility".

John also speaks about some specifics that he suggests in his counseling of couples, such as the 20-minute rule... limiting the amount of time a couple talks in a day about their infertility, so as to not allow infertility to dominate their lives... plus more.

We thank John for his willingness to share his story with us, thus, a loose outline of his wife's story as well. John didn't hesitate to accept my invitation to be a guest on this show, which, of course, spearheads the journey of women. But we are appreciative of any and all information and encouragement from ALL sides of the spectrum.

Delving into a man's mind can only help inform us of the male's mental assessment of the situation, and how we can possibly help our men understand US better, therefore understand what we are going through at a deeper level.

It can possibly result in a smoother journey...and that makes it a good thing for everyone.
