Show #29 Friday, November 30, 2007
We publish a new show every other week. If you have a pop up stopper, you may need to give permission for a new window to open.

Welcome to the 29th installation of Journeys To Motherhood! We hope you
all have had a loving and beautiful Thanksgiving, as we now head into
the high winds of the Christmas and Hanukkah season!
I am SO looking forward to this Christmas, as my little one will be just
shy of two years. She is quite aware of everything around her, and has
already been saying her "wows" whenever we've walked passed anything
Christmas! I still realize and remember, however, that this season can
be quite difficult, even devastating, for the reproductively challenged
woman.
I know this personally, from going through nine heartbreaking holiday
seasons, feeling emptiness in my heart and soul. But I got through it,
and I NOW have such excitement and joy as I look forward to this
upcoming Christmas! Please know that YOU will find that in your life as
well, even if it may not be this year. If motherhood dwells within your
heart, be persistent and NEVER give up on your dream. NEVER. It will
happen...one way or another. I promise you that.
On this show we delve into Part 2 of Tracy Jo Devereaux's magnificent
story. I hope you had a chance to check out Part 1, and I hope you've
also looked at her website. If not, go to our Archives Page and take a
moment to listen to the last show, and be sure to go to
www.MaceyD.com.
As Tracy Jo shares with us today, you will hear about her life
transforming, as she finds herself pregnant with quads. She had been
hoping that the quads would be home for Thanksgiving. Unfortunately that
wasn't the case; however, they ARE doing great! And that, of course, is
the important thing. Check out her website to see these beautiful babies
in their Thanksgiving garb, and their sweet big sister, Macey, who was
the first miracle to enter Tracy Jo's life.
Also covered in her story, are the inevitable changes that infertility
inflicts upon one's marriage, the internal conflicts that Tracy Jo's
husband has been facing, the issue of selective reduction and myriad
other aspects of this life surreal. When I personally am having a day
that is making me feel weathered and worn, I now think of Tracy Jo.
Thoughts of her and what she has had to face, put everything back into
perspective for me. And at that moment, I say a little prayer for her
and her family, and I always find myself then smiling.
Welcome to
the Journeys To Motherhood Internet Talk Radio Show
and Podcast! I'm Barbara Winters, and I'm thrilled to have
this opportunity to share with you my story, my challenges
and especially my success at the end of a very long journey.
There are many women in this world suffering from
infertility, and it is one of the most difficult challenges
a woman can face. Women from all walks of life will be
sharing with us the amazing stories of their unique paths to
motherhood. If you have a story you'd like to share, one
that would inspire and encourage other women who are going
through this as well, please contact me.
We are all sisters, and we were all born with the blessing
to reproduce. I am here for those of you who
find it NOT to be such an easy and natural task. I found my
baby-in-waiting through adoption, but there are many other
avenues that women take to motherhood, and I want to explore
them all. This is a show to uplift, encourage, give hope,
and maybe cause a tear or two. Yet much laughter is on the
docket as well, for laughter helps to heal everything!
Thank
you for joining me on my NEW journey -- being a voice and an
ear for the reproductive challenged women. Let's join
together...removing the darkness...revealing the light. |
